FAQs
How many photographers are a part of The Little Burrow Photography?
It's just me, Emilie! Anytime you hire The Little Burrow Photography, I will always be the one taking your photos.
What photography style can I expect during my session?
I use a blend of documentary and editorial photography styles to tell a story from our session. I will always have specific shots in mind for our session, but my main focus will be capturing the candid and genuine moments. I understand sometimes people can get shy or flustered in front of the camera. I completely understand, being one of those people myself! In these moments I like to gently guide my clients towards genuine moments by offering prompts or poses to help everyone feel at ease. While I may pose you, always feel encouraged to move however feels natural or more comfortable to you! If there is time during our session, I do love a good "detail" shot! Think wedding rings, outfit accessories, close ups on hands or tiny little baby feet. Party favors, delicate frosting details or wedding stationary. I always want to capture every little detail.
How do I book a session?
There are pre-made packages available here, on my booking page.
Simply select the session you would like to book, follow the instructions, and I will be in touch shortly to confirm booking. First, you will be prompted to pick a date and time before paying the booking deposit and signing the contract. Once these steps are done you will be booked and on The Little Burrow calendar!
If you do not see a package that fits your needs, please reach out here, on my contact page.
What is the editing process like?
Each image is given first class treatment! I am very picky when it comes to the exposure, colors and tones in my work, so I always shoot RAW. When editing, I spend as much time as it takes to get each image to the place of perfection.
I do not retouch skin unless requested, because everyone has different preferences and I'm a firm believer in photography being a true documentary of a moment in time.
I will however edit out anything distracting from the main focus of the photo. For example, a tiny bit of lunch stuck between your teeth, or a harmless little boogie snuck past the nose security! My policy is - if it could have been easily taken care of during the session and it was just overlooked, then I edit it out. I always try point out these little things if I notice, before or during a session, so your images turn out the best!
How and when can I expect to see my images after my session?
Photos are delivered maximum 2 weeks after the date of your session and maximum 4 weeks from your wedding or elopement date. Each session will have its own personalized password protected image viewing gallery. Once your images are ready, an email will be sent with your gallery link, password, and download pin.
Can I order prints, canvases, or other products?
Yes! Each session gallery is directly connected to the gift and print shop here on my site. This means you can easily skip the frustrating photo uploading process and order items directly from your gallery. The print shop is fulfilled by several professional print labs across the US.
How much professional photography experience do you have?
I have been a professional photographer since 2013 giving me more than a decade of experience photographing weddings, families, events and more. I've been blessed to have helped hundreds of clients capture their most cherished memories.
Do you have insurance and backup equipment?
Yes! I am a member of Professional Photographers of America and fully insured through PPA. I have two camera bodies, several lenses and many MANY SD cards that I will always have with me at our session.
Do I need to show up early for my mini session?
Yes, please show up 10 minutes before your mini session.
How much experience do you have working with newborns?
For 7 years I worked with a company photographing infants in their hospital and NICU rooms.
These sessions would often times include parents and siblings.
